New Waterford senior hurling manager Peter Queally is hoping to introduce some new faces to the panel in 2025.
The Deise will begin their competitive campaign in February when they take on Carlow in the National League.
They'll be without Colin Dunford and Jack Fagan - but Queally is happy with the group he has to work with.
"We're down a couple of lads. Look, unfortunately we've suffered with the travel bug as well. Colin Dunford has decided to go travelling this year. He's heading off in January and Jack Fagan is going in February. So there are two big losses to us. We've freshened up the panel. About 10 new guys that we're looking at the moment are in and doing a bit of pre-season work. They'll be able to hit the ground running and lay down a marker. I'm hoping some of them will come up trumps. It's probably well documented at this stage, Austin Gleeson is back doing a bit of training. Hopefully, his fitness will come up and he'll have something to offer. We're in negotiations then with one or two more fellas trying to see how they're fixed."
Queally also confirmed that Calum Lyons is still not a guarantee to be part of this year's panel.
"Calum is still in Australia. He's still undecided as regards whether he's staying there or coming back and that. We're still hopeful that at some stage in the new year, Calum will be back with us too."
