The date has been set for the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship Final.
Waterford booked their place in the decider at Croke Park with a historic victory against Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final, with Beth Carton scoring 0-8 as the Déise prevailed by 1-12 to 1-11 at Nowlan Park.
Cork will be Waterford’s opponents on the day. They saw off Galway by 0-15 to 2-6 to book their place in a third successive final.
Waterford will now face Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship Final on Sunday, August 6th at 5pm.
Cork saw off the Déise in last year’s semi-final, but the Déise bit back with their first ever win over Cork at senior level on April 30th this year - so a close, tense and ferocious battle can be expected when push comes to shove.
