Waterford 5 -1 Kerry
It was a weekend to remember for Waterford Cup football with two pieces of silverware making their way back to the Déíse.
The interleague youths kicked proceedings off on Saturday, coming from behind to beat Cork in the Munster final.
Their success was then backed up by the Oscar Traynor team in winning their own Munster final at the expense of Kerry.
The tone was set early on when Mark O'Keefe found the net within the first minute of play. His effort was doubled up inside ten minutes thanks to Ben Daly, before O'Keefe once again found himself in the right place at the right time to make it a 3-0 affair.
Kerry pulled one back before the break to give themselves a lifeline, heading to the changing rooms two goals down at 3-1.
O'Keefe bagged his hat trick with twenty minutes left to play and Waterford would go on to inflict further pain on Kerry when Regix Madika found the net in the 84th minute.
Waterford now know that they will have a home quarter-final for the national stage of the competition.
