Waterford can book their place in the All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship Semi-Finals for the second time in three years on Saturday.

All roads lead to Croke Park for the Deise as they take on Clare at GAA HQ.

Goalkeeper Brianna O’Regan says the mood is high in the county after the minor All-Ireland win last weekend, and she hopes that momentum can carry them through.

“The lads got a phenomenal win over Clare and they’re a great bunch of players”, said the De La Salle netminder. “It’s only great to see the hurling doing really well underage as well, and it’s a long time coming – the lads put in a massive effort to get over the line on Saturday and everyone in Waterford is buzzing around it now, so that’s what the people of Waterford need, a bit of positive rather than negative, and we’ll hopefully roll in from there then.”

“A lot of us have played in Croke Park and there’s a handful of girls that haven’t so I suppose it’s trying to just go out and perform on the day and it will be a massive occasion for everyone. We’ll just go out and enjoy the occasion and hopefully we’ll get over the line on Saturday. Every day you go out – it’s with the aim of getting back to Croke Park.”

The Deise go into match with three wins from four so far in their All-Ireland campaign.

“The season is going well,” said O’Regan. “Winning in Kilkenny on the first day gave us a boost. We have plenty of experience in the side and the young players coming through have done well.

“But we know we face another big challenge now against Clare. It’s all about producing a performance on the day.

“Every day you go out, you try to be better. Year in, year out.”
