The Waterford camogie team suffered a ten point loss to Cork in their league opener at Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night.
Beth Carton scored ten points for Fergal O'Brien's side with Aisling Power and Niamh Rockett also on target.
The return of Ashling Thompson for the Rebels proved crucial as she played a key part in their win.
The final score was Cork 1-19 Waterford 0-12.
