For the first time since 2005, the Waterford and District League are Oscar Traynor Cup champions.
They beat the Mayo League 3-2 at Umbro Milebush Park on Sunday afternoon to claim a fourth-ever title for the county.
Waterford won the inaugural playing of the competition in 1964 and would go on to double their tally the following season.
The most recent success in the competition came in 2005 when Brian O Keefe's side beat the Galway League.
On Sunday afternoon, Daryl Walsh opened the scoring after 21 minutes. Craig Maher's side held that lead until the half-hour mark when Mayo equalised.
They would however head for the changing rooms back in the lead. Mark O'Keefe - who had been scoring for fun so far in the campaign - added to his tally to make it 2-1.
The second half picked up as Maher would have wanted with Regix Madika striking home three minutes into the second period to make it a 3-1 affair.
Mayo were not done yet though, another goal pulled it back to a one-score game as the hosts chased the result.
It was anybody's game on the home straight with that one goal in the balance, but in the fifth minute of injury time, Conor Whittle struck home to put two goals between the sides, wrapping up the tie to the dejected reaction of the home fans.
The win secures the double for the Waterford league, having claimed the Munster title earlier in the campaign.
