The Waterford camogie team start their Division 1A campaign away to Tipperary on Saturday afternoon.
It will be their first competitive game since the All Ireland final defeat to Cork last August. Despite that setback, new manager Jerry Wallace says that the Déise belong in the top flight.
"It's where Waterford want to be; they want to test themselves against the best teams in the country. Waterford are a Premiership team. These Waterford girls want to maintain the standards they set last year and move on a bit higher. We're looking for a good National League; we're going to be very competitive on Saturday and we'll see where that takes us."
Throw in is at 2 o'clock on Saturday in Sean Treacy GAA Kilcommon.
