Old friends will become adversaries at Corrigan Park, Belfast this afternoon as Waterford take on Antrim in Division 1B of the Allianz National Hurling League - a game which both sides will need to win to keep their campaigns on track.

Having lost out to Carlow, Waterford bounced back with a ten-point win at home to Laois - but now face the prospect of a wounded animal, guided by their former manager Davy Fitzgerald.

Antrim shelved a heavy loss to Offaly last time out - and what better motivation for Fitzgerald and the Saffrons than the Deise coming to Corrigan Park.

Waterford will be able to call upon some star men this weekend - as Conor Prunty and Dessie Hutchinson return to the starting line-up, while Stephen Bennett is named on the bench. His brother Shane however is a doubt for the rest of the league campaign having picked up a knock against Laois.

This is the Deise's third clash of six. They then face Dublin at Walsh Park before a trip to Mullingar's Cusack Park to take on Westmeath and they then round off the league campaign at home to Offaly at Fraher Field.

Should Peter Queally's men reach the league decider, that will be played on the second weekend of April.
