Waterford's Orla Hickey says Saturday's victory is one that could kick-start their All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship campaign.
Waterford had 18 points to spare over Wexford in Walsh Park making amends for a disappointing opening round defeat against Dublin, Hickey scored the Déise's opening goal as the home side cruised to a 3-18 to 0-9 win.
It's a trip to Thurles on Sunday for Round 3 against familiar rivals Tipperary and the Dungarvan player says momentum is huge for any group; "Yeah it's great to get a win, just have to drive on now and worry about next weekend, that's our focus now. Last weekend (after the Dublin defeat) we were so disappointed, we knew this week we had to come out and give it our all and in fairness to the whole team, we really picked it up even in training, we really picked it up and it's great to see it".
Hickey says they are relishing the opportunity of running onto Semple Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Déise face Tipperary in the 3rd round of the All-Ireland Senior Championship, in a game that will act as a curtain raiser to the Munster SHC Final between Limerick and Clare; "It's brilliant that we get to play before them even though it's unlucky Waterford aren't in it but it's still a big opportunity for Camogie in general so it's great, we're looking forward to it."
The Camogie clash will get underway at 2pm, followed at 4pm by the Munster Hurling Final, a big day in store at the field of legends!
