Waterford city side Villa fell at the penultimate stage of this season’s Munster Junior Cup in Ozier Park on Saturday evening.

The Poleberry outfit drew 1-1 with Cork AUL side Coachford before losing out on in the resulting penalty shoot out.

Conor Whittle striking in the 89th minute to level the tie and keep Villa’s hopes alive on the night but it wasn’t to be for the Waterford champions.

Meanwhile in the Waterford Premier League, Waterford Crystal got the better of Ferrybank at Abbeylands on Friday night.

Andrew Power striking the all important winner with just fifteen minutes to spare to leave Ferrybank without a win in their opening four matches in 2025 as it finished 1-0.

On Saturday night, Dungarvan United also fell at home as Tycor ran out with 3-0 victors at Kilrush Park.

Walter Croke with a brace before Glenn Hawe added a third.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Tramore powered past Portlaw United with a strong second half showing to win 3-0.

Regix Madika with a brace before David Cooley added a third for the Seagulls.

In West Waterford, Ballinroad and Hibernians played out a stalemate as a Rory Fennell first half strike was cancelled out by Dylan Butler at St Laurence’s Hall.
