Villa advance to last 8 of FAI Junior Cup
Villa FC have booked their place in this year’s FAI Junior Cup Quarter-Finals.
The Connors Park side advanced past Mayo powerhouses Castlebar Celtic.
Conor Whittle, Anthony Ebhonuaye and Dean Walsh scored en route to a 3-0 victory.
Fellow Waterford Premier League side Tramore AFC were also hoping to book their place in the quarter finals.
They made the 900 kilometre round trip to Donegal to take on Fanad United.
It finished 0-0 in normal time with Tramore having had a penalty saved in the 66th minute.
After a hard fought scoreless 120 minutes, Fanad United came away victorious via a penalty shoot out.
