There was a big win on the road for SETU Waterford Vikings last night in Kerry, getting the better of Killarney Cougars 89 points to 79.

That marks a first win for the Vikings in the new season, having lost to Limerick Celtics last time out - when their game was called off after three-quarters of play.

A blistering start by the visitors left the home side chasing the game from early on. 31 points from Jack Ryan, 29 from Idris Joyner and 19 from Vikings big man Osi ensured the points for the Vikings.

The Vikings are on the road again next weekend with a long trek to Donegal to take on Team Northwest.

The Wildcats are also in action this afternoon.

They make the trip to face Killester at the Oblate Hall with tip-off at 2 o'clock.

A win for Tommy O Mahony's team will make it three from three as they seek top spot in the standings.
