Under-20 footballers lose out to Tipperary

The Waterford footballers will play Limerick in the ‘B’ Final of the Munster Under-20 Football Championship on April 1st following their loss at the hands of Tipperary in their crucial clash yesterday.
Having beaten Clare in the opening round in Doonbeg, Paul Power’s men lost out to Limerick in Dungarvan, and travelled to Clonmel knowing they would have to beat the Premier.
However, Paddy O’Keeffe kicked 2-3 to send Tipperary through as table-toppers with a 13-point victory – 2-17 to 1-7.
Paddy McCarthy kicked four points for the Deise, while the goal came from Abbeyside Ballinacourty man Diarmuid Mackle.
