Waterford U20 hurling manager Ken McGrath has named his panel to take on the 2024 Munster Championship.
It's just than a month to go until the start of the campaign when Waterford host Cork in Fraher Field on April 7th.
McGrath will be supported by a who's who of Waterford legends, with Dan Shanahan, Andy Moloney and Kevin Moran also on the sideline.
McGrath has named six players from Ballygunner, five players from Abbeyside/Ballinacourty, four from De La Salle, three from Fourmilewater and Ballyduff Lower and two from St Mollerans and Dungarvan.
The other clubs represented include Ardmore, Brickey Rangers, Clonea, Fenor, Ferrybank, Kilrossanty, Lismore, Mount Sion, Old Parish and Passage who all have one player named on the panel.
Ballygunner's Aaron O'Neill has been named as captain.
Two of those listed already play senior hurling in Patrick Fitzgerald and Scott Ryan, who has become the facto number two to Shaun O'Brien in recent weeks.
The U20s have already played two challenge games in preparation for this competition, facing both Offaly and Kilkenny.
McGrath and his management team, as well as their players, face a task in the coming weeks, which is to return the county's U20 side to winning ways after several years in the wilderness.
Waterford won the U21 All-Ireland in 2016, beating Galway to end a 24-year wait for silverware. Since that game the county's underage record - especially at U20 - has been less than desirable with just one win in seven years, and that win came at the expense of the minnows, Kerry.
However, a point of positivity to take heading into this year's campaign is that an amount of these players have had success at the minor grade, reaching a Munster final in 2021's "covid championship", and ultimately losing to Cork in the decider. That Cork side would go on to win the All-Ireland in the same year.
The squad in full, is as follows:
