Tycor opened their Waterford Premier League season with a remarkable 9-1 victory away to Ballinroad in West Waterford.

The city based side hit the Rams for six inside the opening 45 minutes thanks to four goals from marksman Jamie Walsh.

Jack Power had a hat trick of his own with Michael Hearne also on the scoresheet twice for Tycor.

Kevin Dee provided Ballinroad’s solitary goal on the day.

Elsewhere, Waterford Crystal and Hibernians met for a cracking city derby.

Crystal and Hibs played out a six goal thriller with both sides sharing the spoils after a 3-3 draw.

Goals coming from Jack Waring, Jack Harrington and Aidan Tracey for Crystal.

Whilst Dylan Butler scored either side of a Nicol De Nitto effort for Hibs.
