Tramore Races' December card provided a fine day out for Waterford equine enthusiasts as Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore combined for a double among other local successes.

Action on the seven race card began at 12.35 with a maiden hurdle, and Henry De Bromhead's Guily Billy added to his growing reputation as a top novice prospect as he coasted home with 25 lengths to spare from the favourite Hauturiere in second, at odds of 13/8. There was also another podium finish for the Knockeen yard as Kings Keeper stayed on to land in third.

The Conor Lannen owned and John Kiely trained Powerful Out then came from well off the pace to land the Mares Handicap Hurdle by one and a quarter lengths, ahead of the Declan Queally trained and ridden Robyndeglory. Derek McGrath's 7lb claimer came in handy at odds of 7/1.

She defied odds of 16/1 to land roughly three lengths ahead of the Willie Mullins' trained Mi Lighthouse in the 1.40 contest.

The local victory trend was finally bucked in race four as Cork got on the board in the John & Peter Queally Special Recognition Award Handicap Hurdle at 2.15.

Kingston Kid got to the line ahead of Declan Queally's 10/11 favourite Lovely Moon.

The Eugene O'Sullivan trained horse, rode by his daughter Maxine, took the two mile five furlong affair at odds of 12/1.

Gavin Cromwell landed the Doneraile Walk Beginners Chase courtesy of She's Some Doll - the 11/2 shot ridden home with 4 and a quarter lengths to spare in a fine front-running performance with Luke Dempsey on board.

Eugene O'Sullivan was denied a quickfire double as Earths Furies settled for second, with the locally bred, trained and ridden Chenery coming in third at 10/1.

Lessofdnegativity landed the Lady's Cove Handicap Chase for Andrew McNamara, Patrick O'Hanlon steering him home at odds of 7/2 ahead of Robert Tyner's Arctic Ambition.

The only winning favourite on the day came in the final race, the Garassus Beach Ladies' Pro-Am Flat Race, where Viva Devito justified odds of 5/6 to win with sixteen lengths in hand for Jody Townend and Willie Mullins ahead of Noel Meade's Bugs Moran.
