Senior Cup – All Ireland
Tramore's Senior Cup team were narrowly beaten in the All-Ireland Final at Castle Golf Club Rathfarnham yesterday.
Having got through the quarter-final v Portumna Golf Club on Friday and Enniscorthy Golf Club on Saturday morning; the teams were called in from play against Roganstown Golf Club due to the threat of electrical storms and torrential downpours on Saturday afternoon.
Play continued on Sunday morning. To say it was an exciting finish would be an understatement with Roganstown winning on the 20th.
Tramore golf club have expressed their thanks to the team Manager Con Murphy, players Alan Thomas, Chris Butler, David Kiely Niall Kennedy, Paul Flynn for all their efforts.
Jimmy Bruen Eastern Final.
Eamonn Pollard and the Jimmy Bruen team have reached the All Ireland quarter-finals by beating Clonakilty 3-2 on Saturday.
The next round will be played at Shandon Park Golf Club Belfast 6th September.
