It's the opening leg of the four-day Festival of racing in Tramore with the first of seven National Hunt races due off at a quarter past five.

Local trainer Henry De Bromhead is anxious to make a winning start to proceedings supplying four of the seven runners in the opening novice chase.

Pat Coyne is proving a model of consistency over fences and should go well for Dungarvan trainer John Queally in the Beginners chase.

It's a case of quality rather than quantity in the featured Flynn's Hotel Handicap hurdle while in an ultra-competitive ladies riders maiden contest Molly Wedger twice a winner at the track over hurdles bids for a hat trick of victories for Dungarvan trainer Dermot O Brien in the final race of the session.
