The Waterford ladies welcome Donegal to Walsh Park for a must-win All Ireland championship game on Sunday afternoon. A place in the quarter finals is up for grabs.

It will be the Déise first match at the Keane's Road venue since 2003 and manager Pat Sullivan hopes to see the home fans out in force. "We need all the support we can get because Donegal will arrive en masse as well. This game determines our year and Donegal's year. The support will make some difference to us come Sunday."

The squad trained at Walsh Park on Tuesday evening. A novel experience for the majority of the players. "Some of the girls down in the East would have played here from a camogie perspective. For at least 60 or 70 per cent, it will be their first time playing here on Sunday."
Waterford went down to Kerry by sixteen points in Killarney last weekend, their heaviest defeat of 2024. "We were disappointed with it, no point saying we weren't. Our standards were way below what we set for the team. We had a four or five minute spell where they absolutely ate us up and put that game to bed. Look, we regrouped at half time and actually played really well in the second half."

First half sub Eve Power emerged with credit after kicking two superb points from play. "She came on and steadied the ship when we were struggling on our own kickouts. Won the first ball that went in and then she turned the ball back to Kellyann Hogan and we got a point out of it. She hit two screamers herself."
