The Nire claim county under-20 football title

The Nire have won the County U-20 Football Championship.

They defeated Gaultier at the SETU Arena this afternoon on a 1-12 to 2-4 scoreline, having led 1-8 to 1-1 at the break.

Gaultier were bidding for back-to-back titles having beaten Ballinacourty in last year's decider - but the title returns to the west of the county.

Elsewhere, Clan na Gael won the County Under 20 B title as they defeated the Brickey Rangers 4-15 to 0-8.
