The Nire will face Kilrossanty in the Waterford SFC Quarter Finals after a 3-11 to 1-8 victory over Clashmore/Kinsalebeg at Fraher Field.
Tholom Guiry, Evan Spellman and Larry Walsh all found the net for Derek Lyons' side. Without the injured Conor Gleeson, the Ballymacarbry men bounced back from last week's loss to Gaultier.
Clashmore/Kinsalebeg will take on Abbeyside/Ballinacourty in the other quarter final. Both games will be played next weekend. Gaultier and Rathgormack are through to the semis as group winners.
Tadhg De Burca didn't start for Clashmore but he did enter the fray just before half time. Dylan Guiry and Michael Morrissey set up a goal for Tholom Guiry on ten minutes. It was Guiry's last involvement as he came off with a groin issue. Evan Spellman fired home a second, with the aid of the post, five minutes later as The Nire led 2-4 to 0-4 at the break.
Fionn Hallinan received a black card for the leaders five minutes into the second period and Clashmore creeped back into the game. Two Brian O'Halloran points reduced the gap to three. Aaron Ryan replied with back to back points as The Nire returned to fifteen.
With ten minutes left, a lifeline for Clashmore as Josh Fitzgerald supplied Paul O'Connor who lashed to the net (2-6 to 1-7). Ciaran Walsh responded with a point. On 53 minutes, Larry Walsh combined with Aaron Ryan and blasted past Jonathan Walsh.
