The top two teams in the county will do battle this Sunday with the Waterford senior football title up for grabs.

The Nire and Rathgormack will lock horns for the third straight year as The Nire seek a third consecutive Conway Cup.

In the last two finals, the Nire have had two points to spare over Rathgormack (0.10 - 0.08, 2022 & 1.07 - 0.09, 2021), while in 2020's covid Championship Ballinacouty were three points to the good of the Village (0.13 - 0.10).

Outside of those two meetings with the Nire, Rathgormack have lost three finals in a row and will be hoping that their drought comes to an end at the expense of Michael Ryan's Nire side. Their last county title came in 2019 when - then Ger Power's team - beat Courty by a goal, 2.06 - 1.06.
