Cork City 3 Waterford FC 0
Waterford FC are out of this season's Sports Direct FAI Cup after a below par performance against Cork City at Turners Cross.
The Blues can have no complaints as they succumbed to Cork in every quarter and found themselves a goal down inside the opening minute.
Losing the ball in the middle of the park to Aaron Bolger - he found Cian Bargary on the right and when the defense failed to clear the incoming ball, Ruairi Keating found the net with an easy finish.
The lead was doubled on 17 minutes when Ben Worman's corner to the back post was headed home by Josh Honohan who got there ahead of Giles Philips.
The visitors were saved by the crossbar, two minutes later as Jaze Kabia latched onto a through ball from Bolger and fired a cracking shot that crashed off the woodwork.
Waterford's misery was compounded on 87 minutes when Bargary headed home a delightful Barry Coffey cross and to add to the Blues' woes, top striker Ronan Coughlan was forced off with a foot injury after 51 minutes and Roland Idowu was given his marching orders deep in injury time for a second yellow card.
