Two Waterford clubs progressed in their respective Munster Hurling Championship competitions on Saturday afternoon.

Tallow advanced to the final four of the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship while Kilrossanty made it to the penultimate stage in the Junior competition.

West Waterford’s Tallow were made to battle right to the very end of extra-time as they edged past Garryspillane of Limerick on a 3-18 to 3-16 scoreline at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field.

They will now face either Abbeydorney of Kerry or O’Callaghan’s Mills of Clare in the semi-finals on the 16th of November.

Kilrossanty are through to the last four of the Munster Junior Hurling Championship after they battled to a 2-14 to 0-19 win over The Banner from Clare in Lemybrien on Saturday afternoon.

Alan Dunwoody and Eoin Power netted in either half for the green and gold while the Fitzgerald twins Séamus and Pádraig also played starring roles.

Kilrossanty will face either Cahir or Rockwell Rovers of Tipperary in the semi finals in a home fixture in two weeks time on the 15th of November.
