A superb second-half performance kept the Republic of Ireland under-21s top of their Euro qualifying group.

Stephen Kenny’s side came from a goal down to thrash Sweden 4-1 at Tallaght Stadium.

Waterford’s Lee O’Connor equalised on 50 minutes – his first goal at that level.

Troy Parrott and Adam Idah also found the back of the net before Waterford FC’s Zack Elbouzedi made it 4-1 on 87 minutes.

It was Elbouzedi’s second goal in two games. He gave the goalkeeper no chance tapping home a left-wing cross.
