Stradbally looked to bounce back from their Waterford Senior Football Promotion Relegation final loss to Roanmore as they took on Tipperary Intermediate champions Aherlow at Fraher Field in the Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship.
The Reds defeated Modeligo in the Premier Intermediate final to represent the Déise in Munster.
But it was the Tipperary champions who advanced to the Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship semi finals.
They won on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-07 in Dungarvan.
