Waterford native Lynne McEnery has been added to the Irish Amateur Boxing Association's panel of High-Performance Development coaches.
The St Paul's boxing club Product has worked with the Irish U22's boxers over the past 12 months as well as being appointed to the High-Performance Paris Pool Coach program last year. She boasts significant experience at Elite, Youth and Schools-age coaching.
A former senior elite national champion in her time as a competitor, Lynne becomes the first female coach to join the staff at the HPU.
James Doyle of Monkstown has also been added to the team of High-Performance coaches. Doyle has been part of the High Performance Pool for the past three years and he brings 18 years of experience with him as a club coach.
High Performance Director, Tricia Heberle said “These appointments, on 2 year-contracts, demonstrate the education, training, culture and skill-building driven progression pathway for club coaches to High Performance within the HP Paris Pool Coach Programme. Furthermore, these roles create better potential for the HPU coaches to positively impact all areas of the pathway and in particular the U22 age group . I am delighted to welcome Lynne and James to High Performance, and I look forward to the positive impact they will have on the future development of Irish Boxing”.
