There were contrasting fortunes for Republic of Ireland under-21 strikers in the FA Cup fifth round last night.

Adam Idah was among those to score for Norwich City, but Troy Parrott saw a penalty saved as Tottenham lost 3-2 on spot-kicks after a 1-1 draw at the new White Hart Lane.

After the game, Spurs midfielder Eric Dier confronted a fan in the stands.

His manager Jose Mourinho, didn't condone it, but explained why; "This person insulted Eric, the family was there - the young brother was not happy with the situation and then Eric, I repeat did what we professionals cannot do but did something that probably we would do".

Norwich will play host to the winner of tonight's meeting of Derby County and Manchester United.

That game kicks off at Pride Park at 7.45.

Elsewhere last night, a second half goal from Sergio Aguero saw holders Manchester City beat Sheffield Wednesday by a goal to nil at Hillsborough.

Pep Guardiola's side will travel to Newcastle United in the sixth round.

Leicester City ended Birmingham's run with a 1-nil win at the King Power Stadium, and they'll be at home to Chelsea in the quarter finals.

The other tie out of the hat last night saw Sheffield United drawn at home to Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Republic of Ireland women's side continue their quest for Euro 2021 qualification tonight.

Vera Pauw's side welcome Greece to Tallaght Stadium.

Kick-off is at 7.15.
