Waterford’s Solomon Simon crowned featherweight world champion

Waterford’s Solomon ‘King’ Simon is the new featherweight world champion following a stunning performance against Vicente Araujo at Cage Warriors 196 in London that saw him take his professional record to 7-0.
Solomon Simon won the bout by TKO just seconds before the end of the second round, creating history at the Indigo O2 Arena in front of a packed house.
The Team Ryano man is just Ireland’s third ever featherweight champion at the age of 28.
It’s how expected that Simon will fight Nik Bagley for the belt once more at CW200 in February.
