The Health Minister Simon Harris says Ireland's Six Nations meeting with Italy at the Aviva Stadium may be a concern due to fears over the coronavirus.

More than 200 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Italy, and seven people have died, with several sporting events postponed in the north of the country.

The Pro14 have postponed Ulster's trip to Benetton as well as Ospreys' game away to Zebre.

Simon Harris says that decisions will have to be made about mass gatherings such as matches and the St Patrick's Day parade:

"There are no plans at of now to cancel any mass gathering. The rugby game is something that does need particular consideration, considering the involvement of Italy and the ongoing situation there in terms of COVID-19.

"But all mass gatherings, not just in Ireland but across the European Union, will be kept under review."

The Ireland v Italy game is scheduled to take place in Dublin on March 7th.
