The Waterford FC management team of Kevin Sheedy and Mike Newell are set to continue with the side ahead of this weekends tie with Longford Town.
WRL FM reported earlier today that despite speculation around the pair's tenure at the club, there was no plan for the duo to leave the RSC.
A tweet from the club this past hour confirms that both Sheedy and Newell will not be leaving.

Some reporting had indicated that Waterford FC U19 Head of Youth Development Mike Geoghegan would be taking charge of the team for this weekends fixture, but speaking to WLR Sport today, Geoghegan refuted the claim.
Speculation mounted earlier today that the the management team had resigned following a training ground bust-up, and while an argument did take place on the training ground, as confirmed by the club, with both Newell and Sheedy leaving the training ground - at no time did they hand in their resignation or were they handed their walking papers.
The club have stood over their stance that veteran goalkeeper Brian Murphy has not been dropped due to comments made on a podcast recently, but more so due to the management team having a preference to the young talent in Paul Martin.
This past week, Sheedy told WLR Sport that
“We’ve been fair to all the squad, we’ve said, you know, we’re big believers, if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. We’ve seen Paul Martin in training and he’s been training really really well, and at some stage, he needs the opportunity to play. We just felt it was the right time to give him his debut. I’ve seen a lot of plays in in my career that were really talented on the training ground, but when it comes to you know match situations they’re unable to do in games what they do on the training ground – so it is a big part of the game, the mental side of it and you know, Paul coped with that excellently.”
