Western Champions Shamrocks lifted the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Junior A Football title on Saturday afternoon after a battle with Eastern Champions Butlerstown.

Shamrocks led by 1-06 to 0-03 at the halfway mark but Butlerstown hit back with a strong second half performance.

However, the first half lead that Shamrocks built up proved too much as they took the victory on a 2-10 to 0-11 scoreline at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field.
