Seven Waterford Teams Set for Munster Snooker Club Championships

Seven teams from Waterford City and County will travel to Killarney next Thursday, January 15th, for the 2026 Munster Snooker Club Championships. The event will take place at the Gleneagle Hotel.

Strong Waterford Presence

Two Waterford City teams will compete in the Premier Section. These teams are Norris’s (A) and The Hawks Nest.

Meanwhile, Norris’s (B) will line out in the Championship Section. They will be joined by three teams from Dungarvan Snooker Club and one team from Cappoquin Snooker Club.

As a result, Waterford will have a strong and well-balanced representation across both sections.

All-Ireland Places on Offer

Importantly, all teams will aim to qualify for the All-Ireland Snooker Club Championships. That competition takes place the following week, also in Killarney.

However, qualification is not the only target. Teams will also chase Munster silverware and the chance to become provincial champions.

High Hopes for Waterford Clubs

Overall, Waterford teams will head into the championships with confidence. Ultimately, strong performances could lead to national qualification and provincial success.
