The senior football semi finals have been decided after a hectic weekend of competition.

Ballinacourty sealed their progress from the quarter finals with a 2-17 to 2-8 victory over An Rinn.

Second half goals by Mark Ferncombe and Michael Kiely sealed Ballinacourty’s place in the last four – Victory came at a cost however as Neil Montgomery came off with a hamstring injury in the third quarter.

Elsewehere yesterday The Nire ran out as 2-9 to 0-8 victors over Kilrosaanty in the Fraher Field

Goals from Mike Moore and a penalty thanks to David Meehan put the Nire out in front and they couldnt be caught.

In yesterdays early throw in, Gaultier showed their class when they beat Bricky Rangers 1-15 to 2-07 at St Mollerans.

Brickys had to endure a black and struggled to reach the pitch of the game after that point – succumbing to a 5 point deficit in the end.

While on Saturday, Rathgormack showed yet again why they are the county champions – having gone mostly unchallenged in their first two games, yesterday was no different.

They hammered Clashmore/Kinsale Beg 4-10 to 0-11 to secure their passage to the semi finals.

The Semi-Final games to be played this weekend are:
