The 2025 Waterford senior football panel has been announced ahead of their league opener against Wicklow at Aughrim Park this Sunday.
Paul Shankey will be without some familiar faces this year - with last year's top scorer, Tom O'Connell of Brickey Rangers involved with the senior hurling panel as is Abbeyside / Ballinacourty man Willie Beresford.
Conor McCarthy (Abbeyside / Ballinacourty), Robbie McGrath (Ballinameela), Caolan Mac Craith (An Rinn) and Ross Browne (Colligan) - all of whom started the Deise's famous Munster Championship win against Tipperary last April - won't be involved this season.
15 different clubs are represented in the 36-man panel.
The Nire account for six representatives while county champions Rathgormack have five players representing the Deise - there are three players apiece from Abbeyside/Ballinacourty, An Rinn and Kilrossanty - two each from Colligan, Gaultier, Modeligo, Roanmore, Shamrocks and Stradbally - and one player each from Butlerstown, Clashmore Kinsalebeg, Dunhill and John Mitchels.
