A decision has been made to postpone the senior football final as a mark of respect for the sudden passing of Pat Hunt.

As a member of the GAA, Pat served most recently as  Chairman of the Clonea hurling club as well as County Board Children's officer.

Pat's son Paudie was set to start in goal for Rathgormack this Sunday against The Nire in Fraher Field - and as a mark of respect, the Waterford county board have postponed the final to Sunday week, the 21st of November.

The Hunt family are renowned in Waterford GAA and sporting circles with Pat's brother Tom having played in goal for the Waterford footballers in the 1970's as well as John who is a well-known referee in the county.

His nephews Stephen and Noel both played for the Republic of Ireland soccer team.

Pat is survived by his wife Alice, son Paudie and step-daughter Marie.
