Craig McCarthy, the Waterford professional won his second bout last night at the City West Hotel when he proved to powerful for his Polish opponent Michael Caich in the middleweight division.
The former St Paul's and St Saviour's- Waterford Crystal amateur put Caich on the canvas in Round 4 and he eventually won the contest 42-35 with the judges giving him the nod in all four rounds.
The large number of Waterford travelling fans were in great voice at the sold out Dublin venue.
Negotiations are now in place for Craig to fight in his native city in February. It is expected that the WIT Arena will be the venue for his third professional bout.
