Seamus Power will have to wait until tomorrow to get his Wyndham Championship underway as Tropical Storm Debby has forced an eight hour delay to the opening round in North Carolina.
Power, who is on the bubble in 69th place on the FedEx Cup rankings, was due to tee off at 6.27pm Irish time in the final ranking tournament of the season. However, with play not due to get underway until at least 8pm Irish time, only a handful of the field will see action today.
The Top 70 on the FedEx will make it to the first of the playoffs next week at the St Jude Classic in Memphis.
Shane Lowry is the only other Irish player in the field and is expected to get at least half of his round played as he is now due to tee off around 8.34pm this evening. He is currently 10th on the FedEx Cup standings.
Rory McIlroy is third on the rankings and has elected not to play this week after his Olympic golf exertions last week.
