The second major of the year, the USPGA Championship, gets underway tomorrow at Oak Hill.

Last year at Southern Hills, Waterford's Seamus Power secured his best finish at a major, handing in his card for a share of 9th.

So far in 2023, Seamus has picked up five top 20 finishes, claiming a share of 19th last weekend at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

He has missed the cut just twice this season.

Seamus will tee off in the company of Sungjae Im and Chris Kirk from 6.42pm Irish time tomorrow.

"My game is in a great spot," he told RTÉ Sport's Greg Allen. "It's probably the best I've ever played, recently, but it’s frustrating, results haven’t quite shown it.

"Some top 20s but I’ve not really been in contention. So I do feel very good in my game and I think that’s a good sign coming into a place like this.

"Last week, I played really nicely, just couldn’t quite get it going on the greens. Whereas this week I think you’re going to be rewarded more for some of the stuff I’ve been doing well. That’s kind of exciting.

"I don’t see any reason why I can’t put myself in a good spot on Sunday. I feel like it’s in that good a position but obviously things are still going to have to go your way."
