Seamus Power will have Rikuya Hoshino of Japan and LIV golfer Dean Burmester of South Africa for company over the opening two rounds of this week's US Open at Pinehurst in North Carolina.
The West Waterford man is in action from the 10th tee on Thursday at 11.56am(Irish Time) while the trio will start from the first tee at 5.41pm on Friday evening. He plays in his third US Open and is hoping to fare better than last year's missed cut at the Los Angeles Country Club. He was tied 12th in his US Open debut at The Country Club in Brookline in 2022.
Tom McKibben is first out from the tenth hole at 11.45am on Thursday and plays at 5.30pm on Friday with Matteo Manassero of Italy and Rico Hoey of the Philippines.
Rory McIlroy , who finished second a year ago will play with world number one Scottie Scheffler and US PGA Champion Xander Schauffele (pron: Show-flay) at 6.14pm on Thursday and 12.29 on Friday
Shane Lowry is the fourth of the Irish in action - he is out at 6.47pm on Thursday with Martin Kaymer and Keegan Bradley. They play at 1.02pm on Friday.
