Touraneena native Seamus Power will make his return to PGA Tour action this afternoon when he tees off at the Genesis Invitational at the famed Riviera.

The 34-year-old will be looking to bounce back from a missed-cut at last week's Phoenix Open, as he bids to further solidify his standing in the world's top 50 golfers - and book his place at the Augusta Masters in April.

The Barbasol Championship winner will tee off today in the company of C.T Pan and Kevin Tway, at 3.13pm Irish time.

He begins the tournament ranked 46th in the world, and 11th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Should Seamus remain in the top 50 by the 28th of March, his place at a maiden major tournament will be confirmed.

The last time he competed at Riviera, it was a 64th place finish in 2019 - but he will be looking to add to a great run of form which has seen him achieve multiple tour top tens since his maiden win back in July.

All of the world's top 10 make up the field - with countryman Rory McIlroy also in action later in the company of Victor Hovland and Hideki Matsuyama.

The West Waterford man is set to play this week, before a break and a return at the lucrative Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship.
