Waterford FC have Premier Division football to look forward to in the next few months, but on Saturday night the club were able to put the final bow on their 2023 campaign at the PFA Ireland Awards.
Striker Ronan Coughlan was named First Division Player of The Year having smashed the league's goalscoring record, finding the back of the net 37 times.
The Raheen native previously won Player of the Month in both April and November.
His future at the club remains uncertain, however. He is now out of contract and it is understood that he has received offers from other clubs already.
On winning the play of the month for November, Coughlan said "It’s not always about getting it [a new contract] done straight away," adding that "whatever happens will happen when it’s right."
