Romeo Akachukwu called up for Republic of Ireland u19 duty

Southampton midfielder Romeo Akachukwu has been named amongst Tom Mohan's Republic of Ireland under-19 squad for games in Slovenia.

The Waterford born midfielder recently joined the south coast English Premier League side from Waterford FC making his debut for the club on the 28th August as an 86th minute substitute in a 5-3 win over Cardiff City in the EFL Cup.

The young Boys in Green will head to Slovenia to face France, Kazakhstan and Slovenia.

This is to prepare for their upcoming European qualifiers in November where the Republic of Ireland u19s will face hosts Moldova, Azerbaijan and Iceland.

The future Boys in Green take on France September 5th, Kazakhstan September 7th before finishing their trip by facing their hosts Slovenia on September 10th.
