There was uncontrollable scenes of joy in Belfast last night as Rhys Moran won his first ever bout as a professional boxer.

The Tramore fighter defeated the vastly experienced English Light Heavyweight Andy Bishop on a unanimous decision over all four rounds.

Rhys described the occasion as the "greatest night of his life".

Rhys and his mum Lisa will be the special guests on WLR next Saturday when they will look back on the special night with Matt Keane.

Craig McCarthy, the other undefeated Waterford professional boxer, was at ringside to support Rhys in Belfast last night.
