Rathgormack will face The Nire in the county senior football final next Sunday after a dramatic 1-15 to 1-14 win over Abbeyside/Ballinacourty at Fraher Field yesterday afternoon.

The champions trailed by three points with four minutes left before Stephen Curry punched the ball to the net.

Jason Curry then struck the winner from a last minute free.

Rathgormack boss Kenny Hassett admitted that they were pushed all the way and says he now has his sights set on next weekend’s final clash.

Last weekend, The Nire edged out Gaultier by a single point, 0-10 to 0-9, at Fraher Field to reach a fourth county final in five years.
