Group A

Reigning Waterford Senior County Football Champions Rathgormack’s bid for a third successive title appears to be growing in strength.

The Comeragh side finished the group stage as the sole team with a 100 per cent record in the competition as they topped Group A.

Kilrossanty finished in second spot having lost to Rathgormack in the final group game on a scoreline of 2-17 to 0-10 at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field.

Cathal Crowch and Adam Murray raised green flags to maintain the club’s momentum as they charge towards what would be a 13th Senior title.

Gaultier ensured they avoided bottom spot in Group A at the expense of An Rinn in a hard fought 1-23 to 2-12 victory in Lemybrien.

Group B

Eleven time champions the Nire topped Group B following a 0-15 to 1-04 win over Roanmore.

Abbeyside-Ballinacourty took second place in the group following a comprehensive 2-18 to 0-05 victory over Clashmore/Kinsalebeg in the final round of fixtures.

Roanmore had to settle for third place on points difference with the Sky Blues lagging behind in that regard compared to both the Nire and Ballinacourty.

Clashmore-Kinsalebeg rounded out the group.
