Rathgormack and Roanmore tackle Munster on Sunday

Rathgormack are the final Waterford club to open their Munster campaign this weekend.

Kenny Hassett's side host Castlehaven of Cork in the senior semi-final on Sunday.

Rathgormack secured their first Waterford title in four years when they beat the Nire three weeks ago. They played their last game of Munster senior football back in 2019 when they lost away to St. Joseph’s/Miltown Malbay by three points in the quarter-final.

Castlehaven needed extra time against Cratloe in the provincial quarters to book their place in the decider. They secured their first Cork Championship since 2013 when they beat Nemo Rangers in the Rebel-County final, adding a sixth title to the club's cabinet.

While they may have been searching for a decade for a Cork title, but Castlehaven still have plenty of pedigree in the Munster competition. They hold three titles in all (1989, 1994 & 1994) while they were runners-up in 2012.

WLR will bring you the game live on Sunday, thanks to George Corbett Skoda, with commentary on air from 1.15 pm.

Elsewhere, Roanmore are also back in Munster football action on Sunday when they take on Mungrest St Pauls in the semi-final at Walsh Park.

The Sky Blues secured their place in the final four, beating Grangemockler Ballyneale in Bansha two weeks ago.

Billy Nolan, Sam Pender and Shane Mackey were all in goal-scoring form that day, helping their team to a three-point win over the Tipp champions.

This weekend's opponents meanwhile had the benefit of the draw, going straight through to the final four.

They're underway at Walsh Park on Sunday from half one.
