Butlerstowntrainer Henry De Bromhead runs the Paul Shanahan Old Durham Road in the opening Pat Doyle Memorial Hurdle with Darragh O Keefe on board.
The Cormac Farrell trained Il Courra is expected to pose stiff competition based on recent form. O' Keefe's mount has been 82 days out of action, but the incorporation of blinkers may prove to be the difference over the two-mile, three-furlong course.
De Bromhead is again represented in the 4.37 Sean Hughes Memorial Maiden Hurdle with Hugh Morgan and Cornerkova, owned by the Cloud Nine Syndicate.
Coming to the race with the best form of the field Cornerkova should take top honours, but the Emmet Mullins trained Full Aux Rois will draw attention having improved with each run in recent outings.
Local interests continue to the late races, with Lovely Moon, trained by Declan Queally and combined with Sean O' Keefe set to run in the 6.37 Midland Breeders Supporting Kilbeggan Beginners Chase over 2 miles, 3.5 furlongs.
Elsewhere in the field, Presenting Bonnie is fond of the track in Kilbeggan and goes over fences for just the second time. Nero Rock with Philip Enright in the saddle is a stronger contender having gone very close in recent times in the Killarney Beginners Chase.
The Knockeen handler De Bromhead returns for the penultimate 7.07 Kilsaran Handicap Chase. Ingelby Mackenzie won over 2 miles in Clonmel three months ago and goes up in trip today. Sean Flanagan pilots the David & Cliona Maughan owned 7-year-old and poses a chance over favoured ground here.
Across the channel in Ascot, it's an all flat card with the first off 1.20 pm.
Dungarvan jockey Tom Queally has three rides throughout the afternoon for George Margarson and John Guest Racing.
Protected Guest is part of a five-horse field at 3.05 for the Victoria Racing Club Handicap over 1 mile, four furlongs. The six-year-old can be awkward to deal with; while going first past the post in May at Kempton he was demoted for interference. The best prediction here is for Love Is Golden and Silvestre de Souza. The three-year-old claimed second at Hamilton last week earning a further two pounds in weight.
Queally and Rope Guest go in the 3.40 National Racehorse Week Handicap where Walhaan and Ryan Moore will be the pairing to beat.
The second to last race of the day; the Bateaux London Handicap over six furlongs will have Queally partner Spirited Guest. The five-year-old has made an impact since the return to seven furlongs - winning on three occasions, with one win coming at Ascot. Dean Ivory's Dancing In The Woods will be the one to watch here with Andrea Atzeni on board.
