Peter Queally has been announced as the new Waterford senior hurling manager on a two-year term.

The Ballydurn man served as selector under Davy Fitzgerald for the past two seasons and will be joined on the sideline by Dan Shanahan and Eoin Kelly. Ballygunner's Shane O'Sullivan is on board as performance coach while John Matthews will act as strength and conditioning coach.

Queally guided Passage to their first senior hurling title in 2013 and also led Abbeyside and Roanmore to county final appearances. He managed the Waterford Under 21s for two seasons (2013 and 2014). The 2002 Munster medallist is currently in charge of Limerick club side Kilmallock.
