The Henry de Bromhead-trained Put The Kettle On was a 16-to-1 winner of the Grade 1 Arkle Chase at Cheltenham.

Ridden by Aidan Coleman, the mare caused a major upset on day one of the festival, seeing off some better fancied opponents including stablemate Notebook.

She's the first mare to win the race since 1980.

Fakir D'Oudairies came in second with Rouge Vif in third.

Henry de Bromhead spoke with reporters after the race:

"Aidan was brilliant on her; he said she just attacked every fence and she had the coursing distance form from last year, so you couldn't underestimate her. Obviously, Notebook was probably our more fancied one but in fairness this mare just keeps improving. Delighted. Delighted for everyone involved in her."
